I had the privilege of connecting with the Trans People of Colour (TPOC) team at The 519 to design a cookbook showcasing recipes of significance curated by TPOC members and to create a resource for racialized trans folks. “The (TPOC) project is designed to foster affirming support, greater access to food security, and access to meaningful sexual health promotion information for racialized trans folks.“ (the519)

My aim was to design a colourful, exciting book that reflected the personalities of the TPOC members, participants and the wide range of recipes found within the book. The cookbook also includes helpful sections such as cooking and eating on a budget, hormones and healthy eating, and sexual health promotion information. This project was a true labour of love from everyone involved and is a great way to showcase the important work TPOC is doing in the community.
